Ancient faults waking up in Oklahoma

Eighteen earthquakes yesterday. Two of them I felt here in Wichita I think at about 8 PM. You could even hear a low grade rumble. Fracking is causing it. And of the oil industry, aka the Koch brothers, really don't care.  The Ogallala aquifer is almost depleted. And Yellowstone is way overdue you go off. Not trying to be alarmist, don't believe in the end of days etc., but maybe we shouldn't displace everything underground. But humans will do whatever they want regardless until we extinct ourselves out of existence or completed destroy the earth, and ourselves out of exist.

So I was starting at satellite images of the US, particularly Oklahoma, any trying to see if I can somebody notice what is going on. Patterns are very interesting to look into when viewing geology.  I was trained as a field archaeologist and I love looking at soil color and sediment changes. I became an expert at mapping all the different cultural layers. My supervisor loved to out next on superimposed features, since didn't have the patience for them. Then I became involved but geoarchaeology. Started a project to look for prehistoric suites around springs during the altithermal, a warm dry period about 9,000 to 5,000 years before present. Next I'm going for certification in GIS.

So, back to starring at patterns in geology from satellite images. I can can see them, but not sure if that means anything. At least I have a subject to focus on, cuz on really bored and can only watch Criminal Minds so much- though I do love the show.
